About GMP
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practice. It is translated as “Standards for the manufacture and quality control of pharmaceuticals and Quasi-Drugs,” and it represents the quality management standards to which manufacturers of pharmaceuticals for human and veterinary use adhere.
KAICO’s production facility
At KAICO, we have established GMP-grade pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities for the production of vaccines for both human and animal use. We have also built an in-house system for manufacturing pharmaceutical raw materials.
Under the AMED/SCARDA project, we initiated the production of a prototype of injectable vaccine antigens in 2024. We are advancing research toward a Phase I clinical trial scheduled to be conducted in Japan in 2026.

Our GMP facilities are partially open for tours. If you visit KAICO, please feel free to stop by and see our facilities.
